1. Do I need a fishing license?
Yes, please purchase your license
before the day of the trip. Most Wal Marts sell
them.
2. Do you provide drinks & food?
I will provide water but please
bring a small cooler for anything additional you might
want.
3. Do I need my own fishing gear?
No, I will provide all gear needed
for the trip. You may bring your own if you like
though.
4. Do you guarantee catching fish?
Yes. BUT, If you must go even
though I recommend not going (high wind, etc..) I will
not guarantee fish. There are tough days of course but
we generally catch some even on the toughest days.
5. Will you guarantee a limit?
No! Limits are often caught but
never guaranteed. Crappie patterns can change by the
hour and although the limit is generous it does not
represent the average daily catch. Your fishing
experience can also play a role in how many fish you
take home. Experienced fisherman will generally not lose
as many fish and not miss as many bites therefore taking
home more fish. Its all about the fun though, so we
don’t hound you about missing fish.
6. Do you fish with jigs or minnows?
Both. I am an avid jig fisherman
but I am not about to pass up the opportunity to see a
customer catch fish if it takes minnows to do this...
7. Do you clean the fish?
Yes I will fillet the fish and put
the fillets in zip-lock bags ready to freeze for no
additional cost for this service, no matter how many
fish you have.
8. What if the weather is bad?
Canceling your trip because the
weather man says it’s going to be too hot, too cold,
rain, or high wind may forfeit your deposit. We have
learned not to cancel trips in advance because of what
the weather man says. In most cases we can wait out a
thunder storm and/or find calm waters to fish in with
high winds. If we due agree to cancel the trip then your
deposit will be transferable but not refundable.
9. Do you offer discounts?
When I offer discounts it will be
on my web site. Last winter I offered full day trips for
$50 more than half day trips Jan & Feb.
10. What is my advantage of
hiring you versus another guide?
I am the only full-time guide here
on Cedar Creek. We run hundreds of more trips per year
than our competition. We don’t just guide on the
weekends or on our vacation time, We guide full time and
depend on catching fish & earning your repeated
business. There is not another guide service that spends
near the time we do on the lake. When we are not guiding
we are finding new fishing spots. We fish the lake so
often that we also know the local fisherman. We share
information with them and they do the same. When the
fishing is really hot at a particular spot we know about
it. These are just some of the advantages I believe we
have to offer you. Give us a call and we will set up
your fun fishing trip.
11. A two week notice is
required to cancel or reschedule trips.
If we are able to rebook that trip
we will move your deposit to another day. If we are not
able to rebook that time slot you will lose your
deposit. We hope you understand, but once we book a date
we depend on you being there and have removed that
available date for all other customers. |
